Ski trip

Monday, March 25th, 2013

Since spring has decided to go back into hiding, we have decided to take a ski trip. I had to go to
bogner to get a new suit, because something got spilled on mine and ate it. I am not sure how that happened, but no matter. My suit was really old anyway and needed replaced. This just gave me a reason to buy a new one. Yay me!

What to Look for in Cheap London Hotels on the Expedia Site

Friday, March 8th, 2013

Check out Expedia.com for Affordably Priced Hotels

If you’re someone who appreciates luxury, but does not want to pay a luxury price, then you’ll want to investigate the hotels that are featured on the Expedia website. For example, you can find a variety of cheap London hotels on the platform that fall in a variety of price ranges, depending on your preferences and lifestyle.

Making a Hotel Selection

So, if you are planning a trip to London, you’ll want to make a hotel selection based on a number of criteria, including the features of the property, the number of guest rooms, the nearby attractions, and the amenities or perks.

One Popular Property

One of the London hotels that meets many people’s criteria for an affordable hotel is the Central Park Hotel, which can be found in the Baywater area of the city. People like staying at the hotel as it is close to fine dining as well as London’s major sites and attractions. In fact, the Central Park Hotel is just steps away from such landmark sites as:

* Kensington Gardens

* Hyde Park

* The Portobello Road Market

* Royal Albert Hall

* Harrods

* Buckingham Palace

It’s also in close proximity to the Tower of London, Trafalgar Square and Big Ben as well. Because Hyde Park is almost next door to the hotel, hotel guests can partake in a number of outdoor activities, such as swimming, ice skating, or horseback riding, depending on the time of year they are visiting the city.

The Ideal Site for Business and Leisure Traveler Alike

Again, the Expedia website features a number of properties you’ll want to review. Fortunately, by making use of the Expedia platform, you can plan your travel itinerary and book comfortable accommodations that are economical in price.

Well this is good

Wednesday, March 6th, 2013

I just found out that my medical insurance has dental insurance coverage as well. I didn’t think that it did. Now I can take the kids to the dentist. I had been racking my brain to figure out what to do about that and putting money to the side to cover it, but now I won’t have to have that much. That leaves open money for me to do something good for the kids that they will love. Perhaps a early spring camping trip will be good. I know that we are really in the full on winter blues right now and starting to get antsy about getting away from the house.

I think that the first really good weather weekend, I could surprise them and have everything packed and ready to go when they get home from school. I can almost hear the hooting and hollering now. We have always been an out doors family and the forced confinement over the winter really has taken it’s toll on everyone. It’s not so bad if it is just cold, but the constant rain depresses everyone. This is just the best news possible. I am so happy to have found out about the insurance.

Laundry done

Monday, March 4th, 2013

I did all the laundry over the weekend, but was lazy and didn’t fold it. I have to get that done today, but I will have some help since my honey is home from work today early. They got an extra half a day off  with pay, because they finally finished up their big account. His boss is extremely happy with the team over this account. Since my honey was team leader, he got a really big bonus as well. It is partly the reason why he was selected to go on the trip to Japan. It is a learning trip about a new technique for building. As a structural engineer, my honey gets first knowledge of this because they chose him to go. We have really happy about this trip. I can’t wait to go either. It is going to be so much fun especially since his boss found out I was going to pay for my own ticket and go with him, now he is footing the bill entirely and adding a few days for recreation as well. He has listed me as my honeys assistant, and I will go with him and take notes. Even better for me! My pay is the free trip. I am loving it!

Singapore

Friday, March 1st, 2013

I have always wanted to visit Singapore and now I might get to almost free of charge. My honey has a business trip he has to take there. We will have to pay for my airline ticket, but the room and stuff is all comped so everything else is on his company. We are not sure which hotel they are going to use though. The secretary is really nice and has said that she will let me pick the hotel. I love that. I am looking at the Marina Bay Sands right now to see what they have. It has this roof top infinity pool that goes all the way across it. You can see the entire city from it. I think that is so cool, but I haven’t made up my mind yet.

There is also the Conrad Centennial Singapore Hotel that is also amazing as well. It is one of those supremely elegant hotels that is almost decadent. I have no clue which one I should pick, although the Marina Bay is looking really good, because of that roof top pool. I can see us at night looking out over Singapore at the bright lights of the city.

I did some research on Singapore and found out that they are the third wealthiest country in the world, which comes from being a financial trading hub as well as the fifth busiest port in the world. That is just amazing. I love learning about new places, but I love traveling to them even more. I cannot wait for this trip. My mom is going to come stay here with the kids for the week that we are gone. I will not have to worry about a thing here at home, because I know that mom will take care of everything.
