Next week is the spring break for our schools. This is not true for every county, the breaks seems to be staggered throughout the month of March. Of curse, we are accustomed to having spring break start the week before Easter, but since Easter is so very late this year, they can’t wait that long for the break. So ours is starting this Friday with just a half day of school and then all of next week the kids are off!
Around here, the hottest place to go for a vacation any time of year is one of the many Myrtle Beach Resorts. If you have never been to Myrtle Beach, you really should check into it. They have just about anything you might be looking for when it comes to entertainment, golf, or just hanging out on the beach. My grandparents always stay at a Myrtle Beach Resort when they go down for vacation. See my grandfather loves playing golf and my grandmother loves shopping so there’s plenty of both there.
I personally prefer to stay in one of the Myrtle Beach Hotels. Golf is not my thing but I do love shopping, going to some of the shows and just plain old relaxing by the beach or heated pool if it’s not beach weather. Don’t be surprised to see tags on cars from everywhere to Canada and just about any place you can think of. You might want to try it if you haven’t been.
My grandparents decided to go on a trip to San Francisco since they had never been there before. I thought it was a great idea until their darn car broke down. Of all the things to happen on vacation. Well they started searching for San Francisco Auto Repair on the computer and as luck would have it, they found a great shop that didn’t take advantage of the fact that they were from out of town.
They had decided to drive their Honda Accord to help save money instead of taking their more expensive Volvo. I’m glad they did take the Honda now since the timing belt jumped while they were there. I can just imagine how much it would have cost on the Volvo. They have timing belts too, right? Well anyway, after they repairs and the car rental they had to have, they could have flown and saved money but who knew?
I know it’s supposed to be a short week but I swear this week has been about the longest week since I can remember when. Maybe it’s because it’s after a holiday weekend. Maybe it’s because I had a lot of catching up to do since it’s only a four day week. Maybe it’s because I needed a couple days to recuperate after the long weekend. Who knows!!
These are some gorgeous pictures of the world in which we live in. It’s amazing just how beautiful different places are and yet, some thing there’s no God. That is one thing I just can’t understand. Sure there are some awfully ugly places too but all you have to do is open your eyes and see what a beautiful world we live in. See for yourself.
