Well I found a place to sell textbook that are used. I no longer need them and as they are new editions, someone can be helped by finding them cheaper used. I wish I had been able to find them used myself, but they were all out when I bought mine. No matter, I will get paid for them and help someone else in the process. I like that.

Wednesday, March 6th, 2013Oh boy. My little guy had a altercation in the line as they were waiting for the bus. He said that his friend Dustin was being mean and hit him. So he hit him back and apparently they traded hits in the arm for a couple of times before my little guy went and told the teacher. Now apparently they are both going to the office in the morning. Well I have always told my kids that they have a right to defend themselves. I don’t care what anyone says. No one has the right to hit you and you not try to stop them. I will be calling the school in the morning of course.
Singapore
Friday, March 1st, 2013I have always wanted to visit Singapore and now I might get to almost free of charge. My honey has a business trip he has to take there. We will have to pay for my airline ticket, but the room and stuff is all comped so everything else is on his company. We are not sure which hotel they are going to use though. The secretary is really nice and has said that she will let me pick the hotel. I love that. I am looking at the Marina Bay Sands right now to see what they have. It has this roof top infinity pool that goes all the way across it. You can see the entire city from it. I think that is so cool, but I haven’t made up my mind yet.
There is also the Conrad Centennial Singapore Hotel that is also amazing as well. It is one of those supremely elegant hotels that is almost decadent. I have no clue which one I should pick, although the Marina Bay is looking really good, because of that roof top pool. I can see us at night looking out over Singapore at the bright lights of the city.
I did some research on Singapore and found out that they are the third wealthiest country in the world, which comes from being a financial trading hub as well as the fifth busiest port in the world. That is just amazing. I love learning about new places, but I love traveling to them even more. I cannot wait for this trip. My mom is going to come stay here with the kids for the week that we are gone. I will not have to worry about a thing here at home, because I know that mom will take care of everything.
A difficult time
Tuesday, February 12th, 2013I feel so bad for my little guy. He is having such a hard time in Kindergarten. They have a really advanced program this year and even preschool didn’t prepare him for this. They are doing first and second grade work in Kindergarten. What is that? They changed the program so much that a lot of the kids are having a hard time. I am seriously considering moving, so he can get back to the basics he needs.
There is a wonderful elementary school with a normal kindergarten program near my parents house. They are just over the county line and the school district is different, so the programming is different as well. I hate to leave this house after all of the work I have put into it, but my sons schooling is more important. They just push these kids too hard no a days and then the kids hate school and the schools wonder why. All I can do right now is shake my head and try to figure out my next step.
Dental practice valuation
Friday, January 11th, 2013I have officially decided to take those classes to learn how to do this. Dental practice valuation is mostly about marketing. To find out what a dental practice is worth, you have to take into consideration a lot of criteria. Everything that makes up the practice from it’s patients, to it’s location is considered. What kind of technology do they have? How are they managed? How are they managed? All of these things are compiled together to find a fair market value. Then if the dentist decides he does indeed want to sell his practice, he knows exactly what it is worth and how much to ask for.
