Keekee Speaks Here!

At my pet store they were hosting a special day to raise awareness of the greyhounds that have been rescued from abusive breeders at racetracks. The rescue people brought about 10 greyhounds into the store and let people pat them and get to know the dogs. It was an enlightening moment for me. I fell in love with one of the brown females. If I had a fenced back yard, there is no doubt in my mind that I would have brought her home with me on the spot.

This heat is really wearing me out. There has been no break in these high temperatures all summer. I do not remember when was the last time the daily high was under 90 degrees. I sure do appreciate my air conditioning this year.

The Federal Government has promised more money to the citizens in the form of tax credits for appliances that have an energy star rating. The Feds left the details up to each state, so I am trying to find out what my state is going to do. I sure would like to buy a new refrigerator, and if I can get a rebate or tax credit for that, it would help me out a LOT!

Brrrr! it is pretty cold today! I had to kick the thermostat up a couple degrees to try to take the chill off the air at my house. I usually keep the thermostat set at 70 degrees, but this morning I can’t seem to get warm. I set the thermostat for 72 degrees and hope that it makes the house a little warmer.

My back yard now has several plants and flowers in it.  I’m looking to make a nice garden where I can go and relax and enjoy natures beauty.  I would love to have a nice garden benches to sit on.  I don’t want something that I would have to replace in a couple of years either.  With that in mind, I think a couple of nice stone garden benches would be perfect.  That’s not something to keep up or repair.

I have seen a beautiful garden that was a memorial garden with a couple of memorial benches in it and it was just a perfect place to sit around the water garden they had to feel closer to their departed loved one.  See, that’s another good thing about stone benches, if you ever move, you can always take them with you for your new garden at your new house.  They also really add that special something to your garden that makes it stand out from all of the others too.
