Keekee Speaks Here!

They found my clients daughter today.  She was in Florida, over 1000 miles from home.  She’s with a 17 year old boy and his family, if you can believe that.  This sweet little ‘Angel’ told his family that her mother made her put those pictures on her ‘myspace’ page trying to get a man for her with her daughter.  The bad part is I’m not sure if she’s telling the truth or not.  She makes good grades.  She’s never gotten into any trouble before this but I do know her mother has problems.  Right now, her mother hasn’t spoken since we found her last week.  Until she can communicate with us again, it’s a pretty sad situation for everyone concerned.

I have a client that totally lost it today.  Poor lady just went to ‘LaLa’ land and I’m not sure if she was sent there intentionally or if she discovered her daughters ‘Myspace’ page and just lost it.  Her 13 year old ran away last weekend and she has been worried sick about her.  She went into her daughters computer and found out she has a myspace page and that’s what was on her computer when we got there.

This ‘child’ has pictures of herself on there that shouldn’t be on there or even have been taken of her in the first place.  There were chats on there with some guy her mother doesn’t know.  The last entry was ‘Why don’t we just get the f–k out of here’ and that was the night she ran away.  I’m sure her mother has seen all about the sexual predators stalking these young girls online and is afraid that’s what has happened to her daughter.  I sure hope not.

Every parent needs to monitor their children better on the computer.  They need to be aware of who they chat with, what pages they visit, and if they have a ‘my space’ page or not.  It’s very important.  They should also get a ‘net nanny’ type program to block pages they don’t want their children checking out.  It’s too late to explain all of this to her though.

Well now it’s Kirks birthday.  Watch out world, he’s 16 now.  You know what that means don’t you?  It means he’ll be out where he has no business being unless Mom keeps a tight reign on him.  I know because I did and Mom still hasn’t been able to put that leash on me to this day.  Kirk is different than I was.  He’s a ‘Mommas boy’ but I think that’s because of Daddy dying when he was almost 12.

Anyway, Mom got him a refurbished Dell Latitude Laptop.  He needs one for school and will need it when he goes to college too.  It’s a really nice laptop too.  One things for sure, Mom saved a bunch of money on it by buying a refurbished one.  It you’re in the market for one, check out Dell.com and look under the refurbished ones.  I bet you’ll find something like you’re looking for a lot cheaper and I like ‘cheaper’ myself.

Daddy is one of the inspirations for me going into psychology.  He’s about as messed up in the head as any of the people I work to help.  He is bipolar and has obsessive compulsive disorder too.  He also has impulse control disorder which goes hand in hand with both of the before mentioned.  I do love my Daddy.  He tried so hard to be a good Daddy but it was always just out of his grasp.  He died 4 years ago.  They said it was a car accident but I don’t think so.  I don’t think it was an accident.  I think he did it intentionally because he never touched the brakes and hit that tree about as square in the middle of the front of his little car as he could.  He always wore his seat belts too but didn’t have them on that day.  I don’t think it was an accident at all.

Well I went to Verizon and got a new cell phone.  I got a Palm Treo 755p Smartphone.  This thing is great.  I can do anything I want right from my phone.  I can check my email, cruise the net or anything else I need to do for home or work.  The price wasn’t too bad either.  If you need a new phone that does pretty much everything, check this one out.
