I forgot it was Wednesday and tried to take a load to the dump. They were of course closed. I can’t believe that I wasted the time and gas going all the way over there. Since gas is at a premium right now, I really can’t afford to be wasting that much of it. The truck takes a lot more gas then the car, so we are trying not to use it too much. Ah well, I suppose I can do it tomorrow, but I am not happy about it. Grrrr

Monday, October 29th, 2012Well I just had to order a new hook for the fork truck. The old one was beat up from so much use. The crew at work gets a lot of use out of it, lifting pallets of materials to load and unload off of the trucks. I thought that perhaps I should order it before it broke completely. Now we won’t have to worry about it.
Danged truck
Monday, September 24th, 2012We still can’t get the truck started. I just had to order new valves for the cylinder without compression. Add to that, we seem to have a timing problem. The truck should still start, even without compression in the number one cylinder. Everything is hooked up where it is supposed to be in the wiring, so it has to be timing.
I am so lucky to have an uncle who is a mechanic. All I have to do is call him and he knows exactly what is what. I wish he lived closer to me, but we are unfortunately a thousand miles apart. Oh well, I know that eventually we will get it started. It is just a pain that so much has gone wrong.
The truck
Thursday, August 16th, 2012We are still working on the truck. Ever since it through a rod, we had to take apart the motor and figure out what needs to be replaced. The parts are expensive and with my man out of work, it is taking longer than it should. He just went to order the main part we need, which is a crankshaft. I hope we can have the truck fixed by next weekend. We have a lot of stuff to take care of that requires the use of a truck.

Thursday, June 21st, 2012My danged truck threw a rod down through the oil pan. I am beside myself with worry now. It is going to cost a lot to fix and that means our vacation will have to be put off. I cannot believe the week we have had. Anything that could go wrong pretty much has. How could this happen right now? I can’t take the kids anywhere either during the day so they can do summer stuff. It really sucks.
